I have decided to give portable QRP operating a try.  I will post updates to when and where I will be operating from, as well as frequencies I plan on trying out.  Stay “tuned”, I hope to catch you on the air!

My equipment for portable operating will be:

• Yaesu FT-897, or FT-817
• Buddipole Deluxe, or dipole antenna

I plan on operating from various county parks around my QTH, City parks or where ever I decide would be a cool place to try operating from.  I will try to post locations a week before I am planning on operating, this will depend on weather conditions on the day of operation, so check often.  Check out the schedule here.  Here’s some stats from previous outings
