11/9/16. ON THE AIR!!

The 443.925 repeater is finally on the air!  A huge thank you to Mark, AD0PN for assisting with the install!

Here’s the details:

• Frequency: 443.925 + offset
• Tone squelch of 114.8 hZ
• Mode: AMS/AMS (hence the need for tone squelch)

Currently the repeater is running 20 watts output, I am in the market for a PA.  If you have one, or know someone who does, drop me a note at kb0fxk@gmail.com.

Next on my to-do list is get the echolink node up and running, follow along here

7/28/16 Update—

Plans are in the works to install the repeater at the Carver water tower site on August 5th.  After the install, we will be working on the Echolink interfacing.  Echolink node # 443925, KB0FXK-R.  Keep checking for updates, I will post pics of the install once everything is in place.  When the echolink node is up, feel free to connect and check it out.  I plan on connecting it to some interesting conference servers, Hamnation after show net is one of them.

I have purchased a Yaesu DR-1X Fusion repeater and have been coordinated with the frequency pair 443.925/448.925.  I have the repeater at my home QTH while I am doing some experimenting and testing with it.  Once I am satisfied with the performance, it will be deployed to the Carver water tower where the SMARTS club houses the 147.165 repeater.  There may be an option to install it at one of the water towers in Cologne as well, we’ll see how that goes…….
